1. The VidVop SMS program

VidVop offers an optional SMS personal-assistant service to its account holders in the United States. Once you opt in, the messages you receive are: (a) customer-care replies from your assistant to the messages you send it (for example managing your calendar, email, tasks and spreadsheets); and (b) account notifications and reminders you have specifically asked it for (such as “text me when the restaurant confirms”, or calendar and task reminders). Messages are one-to-one. This is not a marketing or promotional program; we do not send advertising by SMS.

2. How to opt in

SMS is off by default. To turn it on, a signed-in VidVop user goes to the Connect page in their account, enters their own mobile number, and taps “Next” after reading the consent disclosure. They then confirm they own the number by texting HELLO to the VidVop number. Only after this two-step confirmation are any conversational messages exchanged. Consent is given by the user for their own number and is never a condition of creating or keeping a VidVop account.

3. Message frequency

Message frequency varies and depends on your own activity — the assistant replies when you text it, and sends notifications only when you have asked it to. There is no fixed number of messages.

4. Cost

VidVop does not charge you a per-message fee for SMS. However, message and data rates may apply from your mobile carrier, depending on your plan.

5. Opting out and getting help

• Reply STOP (or STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT) at any time to opt out. You will receive one confirmation and then no further messages.
• Reply START to opt back in.
• Reply HELP (or INFO) for help, or contact us at hello@vidvop.com.

6. Your mobile information

No mobile information — including your phone number and the fact that you have opted in to SMS — will be shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We use a messaging provider (Twilio) solely to deliver and receive your messages on our behalf. How we handle your data more generally is described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Supported carriers & availability

The SMS service is available to mobile numbers in the United States. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Availability may vary by carrier.
